From Bucharest: Small Group Day Trip to Medieval Bulgaria
333 ReviewsSee some of the highlights of Bulgaria on a day trip from Bucharest. Explore the Ivanovo Rock Churches, Veliko Turnovo, Arbanassi Village and the interior of Konstantilieva House.
Located in Boyana, a few minutes outside of Sofia’s centre, Chepishev restaurant has a real rustic vibe. Its terrace overlooks the city below and the mountains above, and offers a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The inside has a traditional Bulgarian theme, with wooden panels and cosy fireplaces for the cold winter days – giving the restaurant an alpine feel. There are two large dining halls, making it a great venue for parties or big groups, and the walls are adorned with photos of popular politicians, theatres performers and artists who have visited the restaurant in the past.
On the menu you’ll find a very varied selection, with a combination of traditional Bulgarian dishes as well as food to suit more international palates. Chepishev is also renowned for its impressive wine and whisky selection, so be sure to sample a few from the collection during your visit.
