Taj Mahal is one of the very few Indian restaurants in Sofia but probably the most popular one. It is located in the center of the capital, very close to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the historical Sveta Sofia Church and The House of Parliament. This is an old 3 storey town house renovated and converted into a restaurant with a pleasant outside garden. The decor is plain and simple but the menu is quite extensive. It features a selection of various gourmet temptations and quality drinks. The chef Chandra Kandel takes pride in his work and strives to deliver the best of the Indian cuisine to the residents and guests of the Bulgarian capital.
